Nowadays it seems that everyone’s into running. But why running? Is it because of the physical and mental health benefits it provides? Is it because celebrities are on it? Is it because for meeting new friends?
As for me, long before I’ve gotten into the world of mountain running linking up trails, ridges, and peaks, I was an elementary school sprinter.
It all started when our PE teacher was looking for some kids to do an inter school race. I can still vividly remember the utmost bliss of winning my first ever race, a 50-meter dash. There were no heavy-fancy-shiny race medal, only a classic flat-folded ribbon and lots of fun.
